Building our diets around GREEN-RATED foods is the healthiest way to lose weight. With the exception of fatty plants like nuts and seeds, these foods are high in fiber and low in fat, which means that they fill you up on less calories. As a result, it is possible to lose weight without ever feeling hungry. The best way to reach and maintain a healthy weight is to replace RED-RATED and YELLOW-RATED foods with fruits, veggies, whole grains and legumes, while keeping consumption of fatty plants to a minimum. Load up on starchy foods like potatoes, whole grains and legumes to stave off hunger.
